2. Who We Are

Dropcore is a software platform designed to support businesses operating across manufacturing, assembly, distribution, delivery, maintenance, field service, and related operational workflows.

For the purposes of data protection law, Dropcore Ltd is the data controller for personal data collected through this website unless otherwise stated.

3. What Information We Collect

We may collect and process the following information:

Where Dropcore is used as a platform, we may process operational data such as job records, delivery data, uploaded documents, and system activity logs.

Location data in the Dropcore mobile app

When a worker starts an authorised Last Mile delivery route or Field Service job and continues past the in-app location disclosure, Dropcore Ltd processes precise location (latitude, longitude, accuracy, speed, heading) and related device signals such as battery level. Collection can continue in the background / when the app is closed or not in use for the duration of that session, so dispatch and live operational status remain available while the worker is driving or on site with the screen locked.

Location is not collected at login. The worker can refuse and still complete the underlying work. Collection stops when the session ends (work complete or cancelled, End location session, logout, or organisation policy off). Further location uploads are rejected by the server if no session is open.

Location is used for app functionality: live dispatch, ETAs, and operational awareness for the worker’s organisation. It is not used for advertising or to track people across other companies’ apps. Account owners, managers, and platform administrators in the same organisation can view recent location on Live Tracking. The worker can view their own history in-app.

One-shot location may also be captured for proof of delivery, vehicle checks, and similar job evidence. Those points are stored on the related operational record, not as continuous tracking.

Retention: organisation administrators set an operational retention period for location pings (default 30 days). A server job is designed to delete aged pings. Session metadata and some safety-related coordinates may be kept longer (safety records default to 365 days). Backups may persist for a limited period. Workers or their organisation can request deletion via support@dropcore.co.uk.
